Pilgrims School in Bedford has started on site!

Works at Pilgrims School in Bedford have started on site. We are working as Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and CDM-PD on this project alongside the appointed Contractor, Neville Special Projects. The works comprise a new early year’s area with associated staff spaces / offices and external play areas, as well as the refurbishment of the existing large open plan library space.

The extension to the existing School has been designed to maximise the use of natural ventilation and sunlight.  The building is orientated towards the North providing plenty of light exposure for School activities and minimising overheating throughout the summer months. Opening the doors and windows during these months along the North façade will ensure the building is well ventilated.  New roof lights will be an enhancing addition to the existing library roof to provide a better quality of light to the area, which is located at the centre of the building, creating a light working environment for students and teachers.

All three phases of this project are due to be complete by November 2020.
